Really friendly therapist and their massage me so good I had a wonderful experiance today at Ban Thai Spa!! Chan gave me a wonderful massage!! The afternoon of our arrival in Paris, after the physical challenge of an economy flight from the US, we had the inspiration to call Ban Thai Spa, at its location on rue Dauphine in the 6th, and were able to reserve on short notice for the two of us.
The setting was peaceful and with all the amenities -- beverages and cool wash clothes as we arrived, sandals, cotton Thai shirt-and-pants in which to have the traditional clothes-on Thai massage, and a full hour of intense and effective stretching, pressure and flexibility work. While the setting is more upscale than the typical Bangkok venue, that's reflected in the price, as should be expected -- it's Paris after all -- 85 euros each although ten-hour cards are on offer which we immediately took, as we will be in Paris for a month and can definitely use the time.
A full card of alternative treatments is available -- reflexology, oil massage, herbs, four-hands -- as well as packages including sauna. We will plan to go back, and often. This place is a gem. Thai massages like as if you are in Thailand. I should know as I have been in Thailand recently. All the people are Thai, customer service is faultless. I usually have the Thai traditional massage but all others are also great - great for releasing tension and relaxation and worth every euro of the cost.
